This course comprises of 3 units: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment, Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment, Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding.
This course comprises of 3 units:
Unit 1 – Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
This knowledge unit can be taken by those who are in a position to carry out real assessments and can be taken in conjunction with one or both of the following practice units:
Unit 2 – Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment
The aim of this unit is to assess the assessor-candidates’ knowledge and understanding of assessment principles and practice.
Unit 3 – Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding
This unit is intended for those who assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the work environment (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).
The course consists of a series of theoretical sessions that are enhanced with simulated real life scenario’s in which the participants practice the role of assessor in order to gain the necessary skills and abilities to carry out a fair assessment of someone in their workplace.

Assessment: Direct Observation
Attendance: 100% attendance is required
Entry Requirements: A good command of the English Language, both written and spoken.
