Security Awareness Training for Port Facility Personnel with Designated Security Duties

This course is intended to provide the knowledge required for port facility personnel with designated security duties (guards, access control officers, training officers and relevant port facility managers) in connection with a Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP).

This course is intended to provide the knowledge required for port facility personnel with designated security duties (guards, access control officers, training officers and relevant port facility managers) in connection with a Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP).

They will be able to perform their duties in accordance with the requirements of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), Chapter XI-2, the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code, the IMO/ILO Code of Practice on Security in Ports, and guidance contained in IMO MSC.1/Circ.1341 on Guidelines on Security-related training and familiarisation for port facility personnel.

Course Duration: 2 Days

Assessment: Continuous

Attendance: 100% attendance is required

Entry Requirements: It is expected that those attending this course will be personnel employed or engaged in any capacity in a port facility who are required to comply with the provisions of the ISPS Code and who will not be assigned specific duties in connection with a Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP)
