This simulator course enables attendees to experience real time ship handling situations and is designed for conducting simulation training for Pilots, Tug Masters and Other Vessel Masters in vessel handling, tug working and navigation in Musaffah Channel.

This simulator course enables attendees to experience real time ship handling situations and is designed for conducting simulation training for Pilots, Tug Masters and Other Vessel Masters in vessel handling, tug working and navigation in Musaffah Channel.

Using the simulator allows pilots and masters to experience the effects of restricted waterways, the effect of weather and currents and their ability to navigate safely in a risk free environment. It allows them to test new vessels against standard criteria in the restricted waterways.

The AIM of the course is to enable Masters of vessels calling Musaffah Channel/Port or any other private facility at Musaffah channel to apply safe navigation techniques while operating in the channel at all times and different weather/traffic conditions.

The course shall provide all attendees with the updated local information, developments, rules and regulations, port authority requirements and calling Musaffah Channel, Harbour Master and VTS procedures and requirements.

Assessmen: Direct Observation of practical exercises

Attendance: 100% attendance is required

Entry Requirements: Candidates should hold a Management level CoC
