This course is provided in partnership with MICE Global of Singapore whose trainers are highly experienced experts in their field.
Marine Pilots and pilotage are an essential but often little understood principle element of the global maritime industry.
Regardless of the legislation and local regulations under which they work almost all pilots are public servants, with responsibilities to ensure the safety of navigation within ports; thereby protecting port infrastructures, local marine and littoral environments, the safety of those living and working within the ports and its waterways. This all whilst ensuring and enhancing the commercial efficiency of the port.
If you are an experienced mariner some of the subjects covered within this 3 day course will be familiar. If you do not have an extensive maritime background, then the variety of subjects addressed may come as a surprise.
In accord with IMO resolution A960, the course will give you a broad knowledge and understanding of the underlying varied and often complex disciplines at the core of the maritime pilotage profession. This knowledge and theoretical training alone will not be enough to give the levels of expertise required to practice those skills.
