Introduction
This workshop is aimed at providing delegates a sound knowledge and understanding of marine incident and accident investigations. The course will introduce the delegates various incidents and initial actions taken in an investigation, ways to manage the investigation when an incident or accident takes place.
Delegates will be introduced to methods of physical evidence collection. This course will equip delegates with recommended interview techniques. Last but not least, this workshop will also introduce delegates to ag state investigations as well as the appropriate methods of report writing.

- Assess various types of marine incident
- Master the different investigation processes and employ relevant techniques
- Identify the various types of report which may be required for an investigation
- Discover the root causes of an incident/accident through the incorporation of appropriate gathering and analysing techniques
- Communicate effectively when conducting an investigation
- Develop a good quality report
- Document the occurrences of adverse events and prevent recurrence
