Based on IMO Model Course 3.21
This course aims to refresh the knowledge to those who are designated to perform the duties and responsibilities of a PFSO, as defined in section A/2.1.8 (and section A/17) of the ISPS Code, and in particular the duties and responsibilities with respect to the security of a Port Facility, for ensuring the development (or for developing) of a Port Facility Security Assessment, for ensuring the development (or for developing) of, implementing, maintaining and updating a Port Facility Security Plan and for liaising with Ship Security Officers (SSO’s) and with Company Security Officers (CSO’s).

Assessment: Theoretical and Direct Observation
Attendance: 100% attendance is required
Entry Requirements:
This Course is provided for applicants holding previous PFSO qualifications/certificate. All Applicants for PFSO course are assigned by the Port Authority and the General Authority for Ports, Borders and Free Zones Security of the UAE.
