Area Database Modelling

Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy’s Marine Short Course & Simulator Department has an in-house division specifically dedicated to the creation and modification of Visual & Hydrodynamic Area Databases for use in Wartsila (formerly Transas) simulators, either in the department’s extensive simulation suite or by arrangement at a client’s facility.

This expertise and capability mean that the department can:

• Create a client’s port as it currently exists with accurate hydrodynamics and photorealistic visuals
• Update existing databases to incorporate both Hydrodynamic and Visual changes
• Create realistic databases incorporating future planned work

The extensive simulation suite at the Academy, with an enhanced visual representation of areas and models, serves to provide a realistic training environment.
